Primark Hair mask

My local Primark is right next door to Tescos, so much to my boyfriends annoyance I end up wandering in there every time I go to get groceries. I actually get giddy at the thought of running out of milk, as it’s an excuse to go to Primark. Out of tea bags? Off to Primark!

But I digress, On my last trip to Tescos Primark I picked up this little sachet. I’ve been needing a conditioning hair mask after my recent hair bleaching episodes (more on that another time) and considering it was only £1.50 I thought I might as well give it a go.

Anyway, according to the packaging this mask is for Dry or Damaged Hair, a category I definitely fall into! The mask is enriched with Shea Butter and claims to restructure hair and smooth the cuticle of the hair shaft.

My only fault with this product was that it doesn’t have anywhere for you to tear the packaging open, meaning you have to cut the top off with a pair of scissors. I know this may sound like such an insignificant thing and not really anything to complain about, but just imagine you’re in the bath, having a relaxing pamper evening, you go to put your hair mask on then realise you can’t open it. You’ll have to clamber out the bath in search for scissors, which is just plain annoying!

So when I finally got the packet open with the help of my trusty scissors, I was hit by the smell, it’s amazing! I’m not very good at describing smells but I’ll try my best. It’s a rich, creamy smell, but it’s not overpowering or sickly at all.
Another plus is that you get so much in a sachet, I have quite thick hair and managed to cover my whole head with it. Once pack could do two or three masks if your hair isn’t particularly long, or you just plan on doing the ends which I think for £1.50 is great.

The instructions say to leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, but I had some time to kill, so I threw my hair into a bun and left it on for a couple of hours.
When I finally washed it all out I could definitely notice a difference, whilst I don’t feel it has “restructured my hair” like the packet said it would, my hair is silky smooth after using it. It didn’t make my hair feel heavy or greasy either which I feel some deep conditioning products can do.

Overall I’d say it’s a great little bargain, my hair has the added shine it so desperately needed, and doesn’t feel nearly as dry as it did before.

Have you tried this Primark Hair Mask? I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙂 Let me know in the comments section
